Thanksgiving - The River

Thanksgiving was the moniker of young Adrian Orange, of Portland, Oregon. A child prodigy of sorts, having his first album released at the tender age of 16, Adrian developed a friendship with fellow folkster Phil Elverum before skewering his style into a pretty neat ska style and then again into a Lucky Dragons-esuqe folktronic style. The album I'm posting here was before all that; a time where Adrian would play four chords throughout each song, and in no way is this a bad thing. I'd go as far as to say it's a good thing. The simplicity, honesty and youth in this album are what makes it beautiful. I'd recommend listening to this on a grassy cliff side as autumnal trees rustle far below, silouetted against a harvest moon.
